Master Mercury's Universal Head Case

Joshua S. Levin, April 2008
Mixed Media Sculpture (painting, construction, sculpting, and assemblage)

It may come as no surprise, but Master Murcury's Universal Head Case is both too big and too small to get into proper perspective. I find that it's best to just put the thing on and remember what it felt like before the myth fit.

lol that is so awesome, so much detail in it!

can you wear it?

and is that a phallus i see on the back of it, middle bottom pic?
Another fantastic creation. It would be nice to see it slowly revolve.
Very cool.

Holy shit! This is amazing. Doing the perspective thing...whew, that would be hard.

amazing, can you actually encase a head in this?

who needs a signature?
Thank you... a different face-t for every perspective..

Thank you.
But of course... the real question is can you take it off?

Thank you.
I've noticed a strange sensation of vertigo when working around it... something about the sense that it can't possibly balance there. It does rotate by hand and perhaps a slow motor would be nice, but even more than revolving, I'd like to see it slowly evolve.
