Absorbed in Master Mercury's Universal Head Case

Joshua S. Levin, April 2008
Mixed Media Sculpture (painting, construction, sculpting, and assemblage)

A universal head case should be universal in its means and application.

These archetypes flow through the mind of a globalizing world. Indeed, they emerge in children's toys and bits of cultural refuse. They are externalizations of an inner dialogue. To follow the thread is to decode or dissolve in the web of Babylon. The material culture that surrounds us is far from random. It is a most beautiful and terrible reflection of the many leveled inner workings of the human experience. Bring it to order, and Master Mercury shall bestow his divine message upon you.

St. Francis said,

That has got to be one of the most singularly wicked things I have ever seen. I mean, DAMN.

Thank you. May you find many other much more incredible "wicked things" to delight, provoke, and inspire your own grand wicked wonderfulness.

Inventive, playful and creative. When We saw this in small view it reminded Us of a scene from the Terry Gilliam movie "Time Bandits". :)

Impressive!

Brilliant - I love the almost comic blend of mythical imagery.
